The Village of Morrow is allowing the Little Miami Half Marathon & 10K to take place as scheduled on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Here are updates to the 2020 event plan.

Race Day Protocols for Sunday, August 9, 2020

Cleaning and Sanitation:
  • Reduced racer touch points to minimize physical interaction
  • Additional cleaning and sanitization of areas, such as toilets, check-in area, etc.
  • Use of sealed water bottles and packaged food
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at registration and finish area
  • Face masks for event staff and volunteers
Social Distancing:
  • Racers are asked to arrive on site no more than 30 minutes before start time
  • No race day registration
  • Race start in waves to ensure social distancing. We will utilize a time trial start allowing a certain number of runners to go at a time.
    • 6:45 – 7:30am: half marathon start open
    • 7:30 – 8:15am: 10K start open
  • Participant caps
  • After finishing, runners will have food and drink in the designated area. We ask that they depart the race area within 15 minutes of crossing the finish line.
Additional Race Day Requirements:
  • No spectators will be allowed
  • Timing will be based on chip time
  • No awards ceremony.
  • In addition to the race shirt and finisher’s medal, all athletes will receive a cloth ‘neck gaiter’ that can be used as a face covering if near other athletes, staff or volunteers.
