Directions and Parking

Driving Directions
The race will take place at Phegley Park in Morrow, OH. Morrow is located 25 miles northeast of downtown Cincinnati. The race will be staged from Phegley Park, near the corner of Main Street and Center Street. The start line will be at the corner of Main Street and Front Street.

From Cincinnati: Travel north on I-71 to exit 32 (SR 123) and turn south. Follow SR 123 into downtown Morrow. Turn right on US 22 / SR 3 (Pike St) and the turn right on Front Street (just after crossing the river).
From Columbus: Travel south on I-71 to exit 32 (SR 123) and turn south. Follow SR 123 into downtown Morrow. Turn right on US 22 / SR 3 (Pike St) and the turn right on Front Street (just after crossing the river).
From Dayton: Travel south on I-75 to exit 36 (SR 123) and turn south. Follow SR 123 into downtown Morrow. Turn right on US 22 / SR 3 (Pike St) and the turn right on Front Street (just after crossing the river).

Parking is available on the city streets of Morrow. Please park anywhere you can find a spot in the surrounding neighborhoods.

Flying
Cincinnati International Airport (CVG) – 45 Minutes
Take I-275 east to I-71 north. Travel south on I-71 to exit 32 (SR 123) and turn south. Follow SR 123 into downtown Morrow. Turn right on US 22 / SR 3 (Pike St) and the turn right on Front Street (just after crossing the river).

There are numerous hotels located near Morrow. Please visit Hotels.com and search Morrow, OH. The best selection will be at Kings Mills Road near Kings Island, which is about 15 miles from the race. Here you can find a Residence Inn by Marriott, Comfort Suites, Great Wolf Lodge, Super 8 and a Hampton Inn among others

You can also pick up your race packet on race morning at the race site. Race day packet pick-up closes at the start of the last race.

Course Info

The race starts and finishes in the village of Morrow, just northeast of Cincinnati. The first mile of the race runs through the village of Morrow, before going out and back on the paved Little Miami National Scenic Trail. There is little to no elevation change along the path.

There will be aid stations at miles 2.5, 3.25, 5.5, 7, 8.5, 10.75, and 11.5. There is a port-a-john on the half marathon course at miles 5.5 and 8.5 (in South Lebanon). We will provide gels at the mile 7 aid station. The 10K course is the same as the half marathon with a turn around point 3.45 miles into the race.

Spectator Viewing Info

The Little Miami Half Marathon and 10K is a flat and fast half marathon and 10K running race along the banks of the Little Miami River, just northeast of Cincinnati. The course runs along the Little Miami Scenic Trail, the fourth longest paved trail in the United States. The trail itself is a 68.5 mile trail running from Springfield to Newtown. This trail is a former railroad right-of-way, so there is no vehicular traffic allowed along the route. However, there are multiple viewing points where family and other spectators can watch and cheer on the runners.

Below are a list of multiple viewing points which can be accessed via car.

1. Start/Finish
The start and finish at at Phegley Park in downtown Morrow.

2. Stubbs-Mills Rd
This point is located 3 miles into the race and again at 11 miles.

To get to this location, travel southwest on SR 22/3 until you get to Stubbs-Mills Rd. Turn right at the light. Travel about one half mile. When you come to the location where the bike path crosses the road, you will be able to park in a parking lot on the left.

3. South Lebanon
This point is located on Main Street in South Lebanon and is 5.5 miles into the race and again at 8.5 miles into the race.

To get to this point, travel southwest on SR 22/3 until you get to Zoar Rd. Turn right at the light and travel about 2 miles into South Lebanon. There is a small parking area at a park on the right side of the road.

Awards

The race will be chip timed by Speedy Feet and results and placements will be posted online. There will be an awards ceremony at the gazebo in Phegley Park. The top overall male and female winners in each race will get an award. Age groups are as follows and will be awarded in the top three.

  • Half Marathon and 10K: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over

All finishers will get a finisher’s medal.

Time Limit

The finish line will close at 11:00 AM.

Virtual Run Option

This race can be run virtually if you choose. Please choose the virtual race option when registering. Virtual packets will include a shirt, medal and bib number and will be shipped to you free of charge.

Participating in the virtual race but still want to run the course? You can use the MapMyRun app to follow along the route as you run.

Within the MapMyRun app, you will click the three dots on the bottom of the page and then click route. If you are in Morrow, you can then click nearby. Find the Little Miami route you are running and click it. Then click Do It in the upper right hand corner. You can also click the “Send to device” link in the Ride With GPS map view above to use that app.

Weather and Safety Issues

The average high for early to mid August in Morrow is 85 and the average low is 64. The race will be run no matter what the weather! Bicycles, skateboards, roller skates are not allowed in the race.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our event follows the standard event industry policy: All entry fees are non-refundable. Once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. We reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond our control such as a natural disaster or emergency or as required to protect the safety of participants and staff. No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. We reserve the right to change the details of the event without prior notice. I understand that my entry fee is nonrefundable under any circumstances. If the event is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, you will be eligible for a 100% credit to the following year. I understand that my entry and bib numbers are nontransferable without permission.

If you cannot or choose not to participate, we do allow you to transfer your entry to another person for a fee of $10. This is only allowed up until seven days before the event. We also allow you to defer your entry to the next year for a fee of $10. This is allowed up until 7 days before the event. Up until 3 days before the race, you can transfer your in-person race to the virtual option and we will mail your shirt and medal to you for no fee.

To transfer your entry to another person or defer your entry to next year, you will need to click the “manage your registration” link in the confirmation email. You can also manage your entry from the RunSignUp profile page. Click here to access that page.

Yes, up until 3 days before the race, you can change race distances. If you move from the half marathon to the 10K, there will be no refund. If you move from the 10K to the half marathon, you will have to pay the price difference. Please fill out the contact form below if you wish to switch distances.

The race will not be cancelled or postponed due to cold temperatures, snow, rain, wind or any other inclement weather.

If the race is cancelled or postponed due to COVID, registered runners can choose to run the virtual race, or receive a 100% credit to run the following year.

First, check your junk email box. If you cannot find it there, check your credit card statement to be sure that your credit card was charged. If it was and you cannot find your confirmation email, please go to your Run Sign Up profile here to have your confirmation email resent.

The half marathon course is USATF certified. It has been extensively marked and measured using a Jones counter per USATF certification guidelines, which are accurate to one centimeter.
